Zeztor has been an active participant in community service. It began with shoveling snow for elderly neighbors as a boy before going to school and being a volunteer at the local fire department.
Zeztor’s various bands over the years have supported fund raisers for the mentally and physically disabled, Easter seals, Hospice, school trips etc.
Here is some video of Zeztor playing with the original Groove Foundry band at Alpine Meadows, California for the Disabled Sports USA “Ability Bash”. Over $80,000 was raised that night for this fund raiser! Happy to contribute to our wounded warriors!!
Zeztor’s previous adventure expertise has been donated as a volunteer on extreme rescue teams in three countries, including Yosemite’s high angle SAR team. During a high water spring run off day on the Kern river, he did eleven, class 5 river rescues in a couple hours, with one 6’6″, 295lb, pro football player calling Zeztor his “angel” after being rescued.
Over $30,000 in adventure trips have been donated to fund raising causes with his adventure sports school and guide service thru the Worlds most beautiful wilderness areas. Trips of adventure were also offered to troubled youth and wards of the court system, to get them on the right track.
Numerous contributions to community service have been completed, with 17 years at the Lake Tahoe Kiwanis club, many serving on the board of directors. There he helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for worthy organizations. He much prefers a more hands on approach however and helps individuals he comes across in every day life.
Not beyond picking up the trash of other careless people, he always leaves a place cleaner and better than he finds it. Kids on his adventure trips are rewarded by collecting hands full of micro trash.
He has enjoyed teaching swift water safety to kids and adults with on river kayak classes, to fill a needed void in water safety education and skills training on this planet covered 71% by water.
Zeztor took his daughter’s high school graduating class on an over night whitewater river camping trip, at his own expense, as an alternative to a night of drinking and drugs so typical of graduations.
Community service is a way of life for Zeztor and his numerous contributions to making this a better World are evident to all he comes in contact with.
Talk is cheap, take some action now and change a life today!!
